House: Preconstruction Meeting
We had our preconstruction meeting today.

We met Keith, who is our construction manager. He is very young, apparently, though he has 4 kids, one of whom is 8 years old, so he must be older than he looks, or he started really young. I expected someone old and grizzled, somehow. But he wasn't. Nice, though, kind of quiet.

We went over all of our decisions. I should go over them again against the master list, because there was an error on it, though it was to our favor. We cleared that up, but if there was one error, there may be more. I would not have caught an error of omission.

Sounds like things are moving forward at a good rate. They are going to break ground on Thursday morning, probably around 8:00 or 9:00. I asked if I could be there and Keith said, 'sure', so I am planning on it. He said he'd call if he had any more specific information.

He's going to call us every week and let us know the progress. He said he'd be happy to walk us through the house anytime, but not too frequently. I can understand that.

Yay! We're making progress!
