Q: How much are dues?
A: Dues are $25/year. If the dues would be a hardship for your family, please talk to our Membership Vice-President (membership@momsclubofenon.com) about having them waived.
Q: What are dues used for?
A: Any necessary copies, paper plates, napkins, and plastic utensils for monthly general meetings. We are a non-profit organization and use the dues only to sustain the club.
Q: I'm really eager to join, but I've already missed the general meeting for this month. Is there another open event I can attend before the next one?
A: Probably! Email our Membership Vice-President (membership@momsclubofenon.com) to find out what else we're doing this month! We usually have two or three open events each month.
Q: I have a friend who is a member, can I go to an event with her?
A: For the safety of our members, you may only attend open events before becoming a registered member.
Q: What is an "open" event?
A: Open events are events held at public places. For the safety of our members, only registered members can attend events at members' houses.
Q: How do I join?
A: It's easy! Read the next section, then go to our How To Join page for all the details!
Q: I'm not a mother yet, but I will be soon, can I still join?
A: Of course! We'd love to meet you as soon as you'd like to meet us!
Q: I am not a stay-at-home mom, can I join?
A: Sure! We have a lot of moms who work at home or who work nights. Most of our activities are during the day, but we have some evening events (MOMS' Night Out, Couples' Night Out, Family Night Out).
Q: I'm not a mom, but I take care of children during the day, can I join?
A: Sure.
Associate memberships can be give to caregivers that want to join. This type of membership must be voted on by the membership. Everyone is welcome, though... we've had a few join already!
Q: I'm a stay at home dad, can I join?
A: To allow breastfeeding mothers to feel comfortable nursing their children at our events, our MOMS Club chapter does not allow male members. Luckily, there is an active group of stay at home dads already in Dayton! Go to the website of Great Daddys (http://www.greatdaddys.com/) for more information. You can also consider The Family Network (http://www.daytonfamilynetwork.com/), which organizes activities for moms, dads, and families.
Q: I don't live in or around one of the areas listed... can I still join your chapter?
A: MOMS Club International specifies that you must join the appropriate chapter for your area, if one exists.
Please contact MOMS Club International, http://www.momsclub.org/, for assistance in locating your local chapter.
Q: I have a home-based business and I'd like to join your group just so that I can sell my products to your members. Can I join?
A: No. We are here to offer support and friendship to moms, not to provide customers. We have strict rules concerning the use of our roster for home-based businesses.
Q: I have more questions, who can I ask?
A: You can email info@momsclubofenon.com and one of our welcoming committee moms will answer your email as soon as possible (usually within a day or two).
