Delia came over today and we had lunch. Then we played. Then we talked about how she should leave so that the kids could nap. Then we played some more. We were having such a good time talking and the kids were doing so well playing together that we just didn't want to stop to make them sleep. We ended up going for a hike out to the pond, and I took a hundred pictures. So what else is new?

We went to the Boonshoft with Nicole and Isaiah and Eli and Delia and Connor and Kyle. It was a lot of fun! I had some trouble keeping track of Xander. He ran all over the place, exploring on his own. I wouldn't see him for 30 minutes at a time. It was a little strange. I thought I should be worried, but I really wasn't. As usual, my only concern was whether or not he was causing trouble for anyone else. He had a little trouble with Isaiah; they both are rather aggressive, so they tend to fight. Xander actually bit Isaiah today, which was completely unexpected (and unacceptable).

Kayli had a fantastic time there. She was absolutely glowing the entire time. She was so excited about wandering around in such an exciting environment. I felt like I was there just with her, because Xander was so self-sufficient, so that was kind of nice. At the sand box (full of grated tires, not sand) she was playing effectively with the big kids. It was wonderful.
