More brief experimenting with my new camera. The last picture of Kayli is just priceless. If only it were in focus!

It is hot out, so it is time to get out the pool! Rather than put a bathing suit on Kayli, I just stripped her after her clothes got soaked. She has a diaper rash, so I'm trying to fight it off with a lot of fresh air, and she enjoys playing around completely naked, anyway. Later, the kids got (somewhat) dressed and played on the driveway with all of their toys.

Our neighbor, Aoife, has been coming over to play a lot. These are some pictures I took of the kids playing together. I particularly like the one in which Aoife and Kayli are peeking of the edge of the play structure.

Aoife is a beautiful girl, with gorgeous rosebud lips! I took a lot of pictures of just her, because she's beautiful and because she wasn't moving as fast as my kids.

We hosted the semi-annual block party down in our cul-de-sac. It was a great party, and we got to talk to many people while the kids ran wild. Xander had been looking forward to it for days, and he just had the best time running around with the big kids!

Xander made a fort behind his bed by stacking pillows. It is a tiny narrow space, and he barely fits there. This evening, he fell asleep with his head propped on his chin. Travis tried to lay him down comfortably, but Xander just grunted and propped himself right back up.

The kids fell asleep snuggling, or at least ended up in a cute snuggle after they were asleep. Awwww.

Xander's year end program involved them dancing to Happy Together and I'll Be There For You. Xander was pretty unsure of the movements, but he watched pretty well.

Kayli was so tired that she fell asleep sitting up.

We headed up to SLYC for Memorial Day. We left Dayton in heat and sun, and found ourselves driving through cold drizzle. Despite the cold, the kids wanted to head directly to the beach and had a great time! We even took a pontoon boat ride. Even more fun was the pillow fight with Uncle Ryan.
