How They Met

Travis remembers Jen from an operating systems course that he took during his first year in the Masters program (1992), when Jen was a senior. Jen didn't notice him, but remember that she was one of only a few females in the class (as usual), so she would be hard to miss.

It wasn't until Jen began being a teaching assistant for CPS 100: Using Computers that she and Travis actually met, though they didn't speak outside of work for a year or two after that.

The first time that they went out for dinner, though it certainly wasn't a date, was October 20th, 1994. They simply got together to play guitar, and stopped by a bar to meet some other computer science friends, too. That was the night they started talking.
